2012 NFL Rankings Spieler: 1-25

Having games and degradation film, Scouts Inc., in conjunction with ESPN.com 's Matt Williamson, has evaluated and graded more than 2,500 NFL players heading into the 2012 season. Here's how the top 200 players stacked up.

Note: No rookies have been included in this exercise. Age refers to player's age at the start of the 2012 season on 5 September.

In today's ever-changing NFL, it is imperative for each front office to constantly update, the scouting reports and scores for each player in the league. These reports, along with the college player scouting reports are saved to check over the years, when the decision to pursue in free agency and all other potential roster moves.

Much like in an NFL front office, with the 2012 Big Book you a comprehensive ranking of the top 200 NFL players, plus the top 50 players in each position group. Each player profile is characterized a brief summary of the player, as well as his 2011 stats and important biological information.

In contrast to a front office, we do not evaluate these players on that team and we're working for schema. For example, a true 3-4 defensive end type worth much more. To a 3-4 defense as he to a team that employs 4-3 Instead, ours is a broader evaluation of the player as a whole.

With a list of this size - or, for that matter, a ranking - there is much room for debate and controversy. Measured a guard against a security is not an easy thing to do. And of course take quarterbacks more weight than, say, football or defender. But one thing is certain: the choice of the top NFL players in total in 2012 was very simple.
